Description
Absolutely DARLING! Pudgy belly, SILVER shoes. Original dress, intact wrist tag and box with silver label attached. She is a dream of a doll! She is part of the Storybook Series • Fairyland. A doll dressed like her can be seen on page 191 in the Encyclopedia of Bisque Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls 1936-1947 by Elaine M. Pardee and Jackie Robertson (the Red Book.)
She has short arms (left arm is shorter than the right) and a pudgy belly. Jointed legs and arms, appears unplayed with, gorgeous little face, original ribbon in her hair, soft blonde mohair wig. She's wearing her original Cinderella outfit - a pink, flocked long organdy dress, separate long pink taffeta half slip with wide waistband, long cream organdy pantalettes with lace trimmed cuffs. The dress closes in the back with a tiny safety pin, her half-slip and pantalettes close with another safety pin. It appears that the pin holding her slip and pantalettes has never been removed - too darn tiny for me to ever redo! Her outfit is lovely, no holes or problems that I can see. Clean, smells good, absolutely odor free! She also has her original lace headpiece but I don’t know how it goes - I slipped it under the hair ribbon.
I did take off her dress to get a better picture of her and was amazed that her original intact gold wrist band was under her sleeve! What a nice surprise!
No chips, no cracks, no missing paint! Her face is to die for! Her back has an incised STORYBOOK DOLL USA 11. She is an extremely sweet little thing, looking for a new home where she can be out and appreciated, instead of in a doll closet!
She comes with an original plastic and wire Nancy Ann stand so she will be ready for display! Her original box is totally intact with strong corners, some tape marks on three of the sides, and has a silver label that is mostly intact. Please look at the pictures to see the exact condition!
