    FAQ’s
    Question
: I’ve seen Viton O rings in brown color…Why is this Viton o ring color, green?
    Answer:
The Color of the O ring has nothing to do with its material. Suppliers can make o rings of a certain material, in various colors as requested by their clients. We requested our supplier to manufacture this one in the color green.
    Question
: I’ve seen other vendors online selling the same O ring for Disa valve on BMW M52 and M54/56 engines. Are they the same size?
    Answer:
No, they are of different sizes. O rings are flexible and users sometimes stretch them for applications that they’re not intended for. This may shorten the life of the O ring as it will be under extra stress.
The M52 Disa O Ring is smaller in diameter and much thicker in the cross section than the Disa O ring for the M54 engine.
    Question:
How hard is it to replace this O ring on the Disa valve?
    Answer:
There are some good videos on YOUTUBE showing the experiences of DIY’s for this job. Most claim it’s not a difficult job and can be done in a couple of hours or less.
