    Description

    Item:  Vintage Bisque NANCY ANN STORYBOOK DOLL - 'A Very Independent Lady For July' - #193, socket head, jointed legs, from the early 1940s.
    This beautiful blonde-haired girl wears her original gown of red, white & blue taffeta trimmed in red, white and blue ribbons and featuring a generous ruffled hem along with a cotton underskirt and pantaloons. The gown is faded with age, ex. blue to purple, white to ivory.  She wears a jaunty red bow in her hair.  The doll has black painted slippers and a lovely hand-painted face.  The original box and pamphlet are included.  This beauty is in Very Good vintage condition, although delicate - she should be handled with care and may benefit from string tightening.  Box has minor shelf wear.  See photos for detailed description and condition.  I do my best to show any flaws and/or markings as this item is previously owned.  Many of the items I offer are from estate sales or auctions.  Please email me with any questions.
